Basic Exercises and Activities in Mathematics

I. Introduction

In alignment with the SDO Navotas Intervention Plan to enhance numeracy skills among Grade 1-3 students, North Bay Boulevard Elementary School has taken proactive measures to improve student performance. Through the launch of Project BEAM (Basic Exercises and Activities in Mathematics - Key Stage 1), the school aims to support the division’s goal of reducing the percentage of "Emerging" learners from 54% to 10% by the end of SY 2024-2025.

Recent Rapid Mathematics Assessment results reveal a concerning trend in students’ mathematical proficiency across Grades 1, 2, and 3. A significant number of students remain classified as "Emerging (Not Proficient)" or "Emerging (Low Proficient),” indicating a critical gap in fundamental mathematical skills.
